BIRTHDAY CLUB
RULES
For
members of AJD Groups only
BIRTHDAYS
are special and all of you
in AJD are special! The purpose
of birthday club is to let
others know that we are thinking
of them on their special day.
It also enhances camaraderie
and friendship among our fellow
members in the AJD Groups.
In order for it to be enjoyable,
few guidelines need to be
followed. Also, all participants
need to subscribe to AJD Traders
Group, our private closed
group at the new home of the
AJD Birthday Club.
MEMBERSHIP
In order to become a member
of the AJD Birthday Club,
you must be approved by Zita
Demaree, the owner/founder
of the AJD Groups. You need
to be an active member of
AJD for a month and subsequently
have an activity post on the
club message board. It requires
your Username, Name, Address,
birthdate and collecting preferences
or wish. My e-mail address
is ajdemaree@yahoo.com. Once
the request has been approved,
it will be added to the AJD
Birthday Club Master List
and your name will be forwarded
to me who is tracking the
members records in sending
and receiving birthday cards
and philatelic tuck-ins. On
the first day of each month,
she will send a reminder to
all members by posting on
the AJD message board the
incoming member's birthday.
Also, all birthdates have
a reminder on the club calendar.
GUIDELINES
1. All members
that sign-up to join the AJD
Birthday Club agree to send
greetings cards and tuck-ins
of any philatelic materials
not less than 50 commemoratives
postally used stamps, mint
stamps, miniature sheet stamps,
postcards, maximum cards,
FDC or any on the celebrant
want list to all members of
the birthday club.
2.
As we are an international
club, all members of the Birthday
Club must be willing to send
and receive birthday mailings
from other countries.
3.
Please send the greeting cards
early so they will come in
time for the celebrant's birthday.
Some months have one birthday,
two or three birthdays and
some months have no birthdays
at all. Remember, it is exciting
and celebrants are anxious
to receive this cards.
4.
Ensure that you have sufficient
postage. Also, make sure that
the address is correct. It
would be nice to use attractive
commemorative stamps and a
nice envelope for possible
cover collection.
5.
In case of default, any member
will have a choice of sending
the mail within 3 days after
bringing this to your attention
or you will be reported as
bad traders and unsubscribe
from the club.
6.
Once you receive the Birthday
Club envelope from the members,
please post a message at AJD
STAMPERS CLUB message board.
This way we can keep track
of the members sending and
receiving. It is the responsibility
of the celebrant to inform
the club who are the members
who send them gifts.
7.
You cannot sign up on the
month of your birthday and
unsubscribe the next month.
If you are getting birthday
presents on your birthday
then you should be willing
to send birthday present to
others as well. Please make
sure that you can fulfill
this promise before joining.
8.
All Birthday Club participants
are expected to participate
in the message board posting.
You can participate by postings
stamp issues, discussion,
posting stamps links or stamp
stories, trading requests,
contest participation, etc.
